Seneca Ridge Retreat is a large-scale outdoor living project built around elevation, natural stone, and long-term performance. Designed to maximize both function and visual impact, this space transforms the backyard into a fully integrated, multi-level outdoor environment.

The defining feature of this project is the extensive use of Seneca guillotine boulders from Yukon Valley Natural Stone, with more than 10 truckloads installed to create massive, structural retaining walls throughout the space. These boulders not only solve grade changes but also establish the entire character of the project, delivering a bold, natural look that sets this backyard apart.

The tiered design creates distinct levels for different uses, including a lower pool and patio area and an upper lounge space anchored by an elevated fire pit. This upper level serves as a focal point, offering a private, built-in gathering area surrounded by stone and enhanced with integrated lighting.

At the center of the lower level is a custom in-ground pool paired with a connected spa, creating a clean and functional layout for both relaxation and entertaining. The surrounding patio provides ample space for seating while maintaining a cohesive flow between allareas of the project.

A custom outdoor kitchen adds another layer of usability, featuring Brentwood countertops and built-in cooking space designed for hosting and everyday use. Positioned alongside the pool and patio, the kitchen helps tie the entire outdoor living space together.

Lighting is integrated throughout the project, highlighting the stonework, steps, and transitions between levels. At night, the combination of illuminated boulder walls, fire features, and water creates a completely different atmosphere.
